Amanda Jones is a Los Angeles based film composer whose music department credits include: How to Train Your Dragon 2, Dear White People (TV Series), Kingsman: The Secret Service, Oprah’s scripted drama Greenleaf, the original score for Lena Waithe’s scripted series TWENTIES, Kofi Siriboe’s directorial debut Jump, the forthcoming TLC documentary, TLC: No Introduction, James Bland’s scripted series Giants season 2 produced by Issa Rae, Lisa Kudrow’s Shitty Boyfriends on CW/Refinery 29 and the award winning film 1 Angry Black Man from, director Menelek Lumumba and executive producer / cinematographer Hans Charles.
Amanda received her BA in music from Vassar College studying music composition, production and classical guitar under Terry Champlin. She received certificates in film scoring and orchestration from the Berklee College of Music and has worked in several studios alongside composers: Michael A. Levine, Hans Zimmer, Henry Jackman and John Powell.
Amanda also performs as the singer and guitarist of the Los Angeles based indie rock band, The Anti-Job. Their music has received airplay on a variety of radio stations including, BBC Radio 6 and NPR.
